About Me

My photo
Hey Hey! My name is Catherine Lee. I am a born and raised southern gal from AR that is now turned into a Colorado-an! I am a 2nd grade teacher and love my job more than anything! I am deeply in love with my husband Jonathan. He is Half-Korean and we hope to have some little quarter Koreans someday soon;) I love life and know that in Christ I can be truly content and can truly show His light and love.

December;)

Being married to Jon has provided many opportunities for various sports activities lol:) Recently we went to a Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game with one of his Air Force friends, and witnessed Carmello Anthony scored 33 points in one quarter.....NBA history in the making;)......Sadly (and much to Jon's dismay) the Timberwolves lost...boo. But the night was fun anyway and I always enjoy basketball!!

p.s. ( a little sidenote) I have also been introduced to the wonderful world of VIKINGS! And every sunday have gone to a nearby sports bar to watch my husbands beloved game;)....Football is still another language and world to me, but I do find that I am learning quickly lol.

OH! And amazingly enough, Jon was so kind as to agree to come with me to a ball! Yes, a real, formal, dance.:)...Here is a picture of our outing.....(H
e's so handsome)

                                                                              Christmas with the Lee's!!!

This Christmas was a true blessing ;) Jon and I couldn't wait for Christmas morning so we opened up our stockings and some of the presents on Christmas Eve:) Being away from home and the family is always different and I miss all of my family a whole lot, but spending my first Christmas married was also a special time;) Jon is the sweetest husband in the whole world, and it was exciting to start off our married life together and get to spend our first Christmas together!

I have started the hobby of scrapbooking! So for Jon's christmas present i spent a few weeks and made him one of all the pictures since we've known each other.....dating, africa, europe, engagment, wedding, and honeymoon....He seemed to really like it and said it was his favorite present;)

I also got him tickets to four NBA games in Denver, which I think both of us will thoroughly enjoy!

One of my favorite gifts Jon gave me was a real diamond necklace! It's simply gorgeous.....Also for a new years gift (that I was given early) Jon got me a Wii.....and wow, it's sooo much fun;) It probably takes up too much of my time....lol

Jon made a wonderful, scrumption dinner for us, consisting of shrimp, vegetables, steak, and lobster.....Also, I got to use my wedding china for the first time making our Christmas dinner quite elegant:)

Wow!

I can't belive that I am actually writing a blog. Many a friend of mine has tried to persuade me to create one, but seeing that I am a terrible writer I threw that idea out the door;)

My name is Catherine Lee, (my new last name) and I got married this past October to the love of my life!! We have been married now for almost two months come December 9th. Ahhh it's been so wonderful:)

Last september I moved from Arkansas to Colorado, my home now, and started attending Pikes Peak College, I have now completed 2 semesters there!! yaya!!! I love studying and learning and can't wait to be FINISHED so I can begin my career as an elementary teacher. I'm not exactly sure yet whether I will just be a teacher to my children someday or actually get a job being a teacher, either way i know the Lord has wonderful plans for me and I cannot wait to see what they are in the future!!!

Right now I'm in a place in my life where I am waiting to figure out where I am going to be living in May. Jon (my husband) is in the Air Force and right after we got back from our honeymoon he received a call telling him that his new assignment was in AR., which evidently is ironic because that is where I grew up! God is definately stretching me in this area because I had actually SWORN I would never move back there lol. Oh well, where ever my husband is I will be happy;) And as long as I know that I am in the Lord's hands and He is watching over me, I am safe and secure.

It will be definitely interesting returning there and seeing all my old friends!

Jon is amazing, encouraging, and always optimistic when talking and thinking about our future. Sadly enough, If we do move to AR. he will most likely be deployed to Iraq for 6 to 14 months. I can't say I'm overjoyed by that, in fact I will miss him terribly, but I know God has him in the palm of his hands and he will take care of both of us wherever we are;)

When it comes down to our future, one can only trust God, and wait and see what kind of exciting plans he has in store! I am so blessed to have the family members and friends around me who are praying for us, and I am also blessed to have a close walk with my God, and a growing relationship with Him that gives me comfort and security to hold on to every day of my life. Praise God!!

Well that's about it for the intro to me, Of course there is alot more about me lol but I'm going to spare you all of the details from the past and just write about now and the future ahead of me!
