About Me

My photo
Hey Hey! My name is Catherine Lee. I am a born and raised southern gal from AR that is now turned into a Colorado-an! I am a 2nd grade teacher and love my job more than anything! I am deeply in love with my husband Jonathan. He is Half-Korean and we hope to have some little quarter Koreans someday soon;) I love life and know that in Christ I can be truly content and can truly show His light and love.

The Coming Move

We have exactly 31 days till Jon and I move to Arkansas!
We're both really excited about seeing my family, although we are a little stressed about the heat and the bugs lol.....I know it's going to be bearable because I have experience it before having grown up in AR but nevertheless, it will definitely be interesting to say in the least:)

I am slowly but surely nearing the end of the semester at Pikes Peak! Words cannot express how excited I will be when I get out of classes:) I have a big education essay to write, a Biology paper and presentation to finish, quite a few quizzes, and then lastly all my finals....whew, when will it end?!

Jon and I have decided (thanks to my mom for offering to buy our plane tickets) to fly to Little Rock, not this weekend but next, to try and decide on an apartment to live in. We officially move to LR the last week in may so we still have a month till its "Goodbye Colorado".... at least for awhile.

Valentines Day 09

This was my first valentines day being married and I have to say, celebrating valentines day while being married is WAY better than when you're single;) It's absolutely wonderful to spend that day with your one and only!;)

Jon was by far the sweetest husband in the world this valentines day:)

He bought me flowers and MADE me a card (he put 4 hours into making that card) bought me lots of chocolate, including Godiva chocolate, mmmmm, and something from Victoria's Secret:) He also bought me a Starbucks gold card.....I made him a card and bought him chocolate, but my card was not quite as spectacular as his lol;)......

He should get the best Husband and friend award...he helps me with my homework, sometimes cleans the house for me, and is by far the most encouraging person around for me...;) When I am down, or beating myself up about something, he is always right there to encourage me:)....Being  married to him has been the best blessing God has given me on this earth.

I hope we live long lives together.....there's absolutely NO one else in this world that I would rather be with....;)

I love you Jonathan

School and Skiing: blah vs. yaya!

Well school has started back.....I'm now busy with papers, reading, class, and COFFEE! I have been trying to break myself from my Starbucks addiction and just stick with tea, but alas, I find this an almost impossible task lol....:)

Jon took me on another ski trip this past weekend to Keystone, and my cousin Kelci and our friend Whitney were able to come with us! We had alot of fun and played the game of "LIFE" each night.  The first game, Jon creamed us with all of his accumulated life points....wow:) The second night we thought we might add in some more rules and strategy, so we decided to play on teams and add our points together at the end, Jon overall had the most life points at the end, but all in all in the end Kelci and Whitney won.
This is Jon and I on the slopes!!! :)

Kelci's baby was also very entertaining, he's just at that really adorable stage where they have like 2 teeth and are starting to crawl and smile alot;)

Moving...
As many of you know, my husband Jonathan is in the Air Force and has recently been given his new assignment. He is to be stationed at the Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas. We will be leaving the end of this May, because we have to be down there by the 29th of May. What is really comical about this move for us is that the destination is exactly where I had ALWAYS sworn I would never live again. I grew up in Arkansas and lived there for 18 years. Moving away was a huge highlight in my life:) Now, my family still lives there in AR. so that part was not why I was excited about leaving at all! I love my family very very dearly, I just always felt that I was to be in bigger more exciting places, and for one thing lol I can't stand heat and humidity...who can?? I can now say I learned the hard way about making an inner vow, I realized that I had sworn to God, family, and friends, that I would never move back, which seemed to make it a prime situation for God to use to point out my unwillingness to see if that was even God's will;) Well, Lord you have definitely got my attention and I also thank you for the change of heart that has taken place, I am not only excited about the move, but am looking forward to Arkansas and seeing my family!

Moving to Colorado was awesome, it is where I met my husband, found the church I love, had new experiences at, and went to a wonderful little college...Jon and I both hope to move back here someday if that is God's will!

Plans
Being in the military as some of you might know, involves a ton of moving around, which in my case is right up my alley! We will most likely be in AR. for one to two years, After that who knows? We have a few ideas....for one, Jon is in seminary right now through Fuller, a seminary based out of California, he want's to become a chaplain in the Air Force so as of right now, he will be trying to get in to the Chaplain candidate program. In which case we will either move back to Colorado for Kings Seminary, or move to California to finish out with Fuller. After that, we could be anywhere the military send us..... Korea, England, East Coast, Russia, who knows lol?
Deploying
I know God has a wonderful plan for Jon, and I know that He has everything planned out even before we were born so I am trying to learn how to FULLY trust God and not even worry about the tiniest thing:)                                 (it's harder than it looks sometimes isn't it?)

When we move to Arkansas, the unfortunate thing is that Jon has an almost 100% chance of being deployed to Iraq or somewhere like that. His career field is also being deployed way more than most and for longer times, such as at least 6 to 14 months.
So Jon and I are praying that if in some way God would have it that he didn't deploy we would VERY thankful!:) So if any of you wouldn't mind joining in with us in lifting that request up to our God we would be grateful;)....To all of my Colorado friends, it has been AMAZING getting to know you and I hope to get to come back to visit or live again! To my Arkansas family, I will be looking forward to seeing you in May!
Love you guys and thanks for your prayers;)

In Him,
Catherine

Snowbarding and Aching ALL over

Things I learned From Snowboarding

  • While trying to learn  this sport, you will be on your butt all day.
  • It is hard on every muscle in your body  (good work out)
  • Once you finally learn to snow plow front ways, thats pretty much all you want to do!
  • And lastly, It is alot of fun, and I just might try it again lol.
So yes, I ventured out of my comfort zone yesterday, and decided to try snowboarding instead of  skiing. My cousins and some friends of theirs went up to Keystone and they invited me to go so I thought since school hasn't started yet, why not? Unfortunately I am more sore than probably ever before in my life from falling every 5 feet, but at least now I can say I have tried it, and actually leaned how to snowboard!!!

Skiing in Breckenridge!!

Colorado Freezing and Skiing

This last week, my parents came up for a week long visit! It was truly a blessing to be able to see them again and spend so much time with them, I miss them alot. During the week we had the opportunity to go skiing at Breckenridge for a few days, which was amazing  and a much needed vacation I believe for everyone:) Breckenridge had not received any new snow in a few weeks so it was not fresh powder unfortunately, but the sun was out and provided the much appreciated warmth for skiing! Evidently we all got SO hot we had to take off
our coats and gloves! Now that is my kind of skiing;)
Tomorrow I will be going skiing again (much to my excitement), with my cousin, at Keystone. I think I have decided Keystone to be one of my most favorite Resorts of all. Not too big, not too small. The question is.... Will I try Snowboarding for the first time or not?? I have to sleep on that one lol.

Each and every time I travel up into the mountains, I am amazed at how glorious and beautiful the mountains are! I have lived here for over a year and they still take my breath away at each glance. God is so amazing to have created such a beautiful world for us to enjoy!!!
Truly Spectacular!!!!
