About Me

My photo
Hey Hey! My name is Catherine Lee. I am a born and raised southern gal from AR that is now turned into a Colorado-an! I am a 2nd grade teacher and love my job more than anything! I am deeply in love with my husband Jonathan. He is Half-Korean and we hope to have some little quarter Koreans someday soon;) I love life and know that in Christ I can be truly content and can truly show His light and love.

Back in the Mountains...

It is truly bittersweet to back here in the springs. It is a joy to be back with all our friends and our church and our beloved mountains, and yet it was extremely hard/sad to say goodbye to my family. There will HAVE to be many many visits back and forth;)
Jon and I had a safe trip up and only got delayed one flight by 45 mins, so not too bad. Jon was quite sweet though while we were delayed in Denver and went and got us some frozen yogurt;) mmmm.

We landed in the springs and our good friend Daniel picked us up with his ADORABLE little boy Benji. ;) He is laughing now and it the most contagious, joyful sound you have ever heard! He's just the sweetest thing. Had a welcome home dinner with our group and felt truly loved by all of them (Also enjoyed the stew Daniel made- we were both starving lol).

This morning I went to Adams Cafe with the girls and celebrated Adrians birthday...I ordered oatmeal thinking it would be this quaint little bowl, when all of a sudden they brought out this ginormous bowl the size of my head lol. Needless to say I had about 10 bites out of the entire bowl and was already stuffed. It was very good though;)

Counting down the days to our flight to Korea. TWO more days!!!! I can't wait! Every time I go out of the country I get super excited. I love new experiences and cultures. Jon has been to Korea a few times but I can tell he is pretty excited as well. We are going to have a lot of time to just relax and see a lot hopefully.

Some of my trip goals:

1) Eat something that I have absolutely no idea what it is :p

2) try and learn a few sentences to get around with. (like: where is the bathroom, how can we adopt 20 Korean babies....haha jk) ;)

3) Lean more about the traditional dress of Korean woman.

4) Travel to the countryside at least once and see some Korean mountains and rice fields;)

5) Walk down Cheonggyecheon Stream

They say more couples walk this than in New York City's Central Park. Pretty cool;)
(about 3 miles long with flowing waterfalls and dozens of bridges above you)

6) Go to the top of the "Seoul Tower"

So....Question: How well do you think Jon and I can maneuver around Seoul without getting too lost???

At least the maps are easy to read right? oh wait....

Haha so wish us luck;)
